As fans have come to expect, each year we get a string of rumoured names of celebrities who are predicted to take the walk down the stairs of the Big Brother house.

Here, we take a look at the names that have been floating about in the world of celebrity gossip!

Coolio - Most famous for his title song to the hit movie, Dangerous Minds. Coolio is reported by website AllHipHop to be entering the house in January. Since his successful “Gangsta’s Paradise” single, back in 1995, he has been featured in his own reality TV series in the States; titled “Coolio’s Rules.”

Patrick Moore - The legendary presenter of BBC’s Sky at Night is reported to be entering the house by The Mirror. At the 85 years of age, Moore is famous for not only his contributions to the astronomy programme since 1957 - but he has also written over 70 books and had an asteroid named after him!

Whitney Houston - American diva superstar Whitney Houston has been rumoured as a housemate since late summer. Whitney, who is an award-winning actress as well as a successful singer, is said to have agreed to Celebrity BB in an effort to relaunch her career after working on a new album. However, we think it’s unlikely we’ll see Whitters in the house!

Verne Troyer - Best known as the 2ft 8ins comic villian from the Austin Powers series, Mini-Me. Troyer, 39, is rumoured to have signed up for the series in early October. He was caught up in a controversy earlier this year in which his ex-girlfriend leaked a sex tape video of him on to the internet.

Mutya Buena - Formerly of girl group Sugababes, Mutya was another name that has been churned out regularly by the rumour mill. However, recently Mutya denied that she would be in the series - stating that she is “working on a new album.”

Georgina Baillie - The now famous burlesque dancer, who shot to fame after becoming the target of discussion on ex-lover Russell Brand’s BBC radio show earlier this year. Georgina, is the granddaughter of Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs, who was left a series of offensive voicemail messages that landed both Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross in hot water.

Lembit Opik - An MP who is currently aiming to be elected as the next Liberal Democrats leader. Lembit is possibly most famous for his relationships with weather presenter Sian Lloyd, and Cheeky Girl - Gabriella Irimia. Lembit recently denied taking up the offer of Celebrity Big Brother however, stating he wishes to focus on his campaign instead.

Blake Fielder-Civil - Best known for being the long-term on and off boyfriend of Amy Winehouse, Blake was recently released from jail and is said to be considering Celebrity Big Brother, believing it to be a good opportunity to prove to Amy and the public that he is “off the drugs.”

Ian Wright - Former Premiership footballer Ian Wright has been offered Celebrity Big Brother previously, but has apparently only considered the idea recently and is rumoured to be in talks with BB bosses. Ian recently co-hosted the revival of the 90’s cult show Gladiators on Sky One.
