LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS… ‘Coolio’ - 45-year old rap star, famous for his ‘Gangsta’s Paradise‘ hit from the movie ‘Dangerous Minds.’ Now famous in the US for his own reality TV show. The long wait is almost over, after being off our TV screens for over a year - Celebrity Big Brother makes its welcome return, kicking off the New Year with a bang!
The launch show will be, as ever, hosted by Davina - live from outside the Big Brother compound - from 9pm on Channel 4.
This will be the first time the nation will meet the latest batch of celebrities who will make it in to the Britain’s most famous TV house. There have been tons of rumours on who will take the walk up the steps to the house tonight, but Channel 4 have remained tight-lipped throughout - and the final line-up won’t be revealed until the launch show.

The new batch of celebrity housemates have been instructed to watch video of the 2007 Celebrity Big Brother ‘racism row’ incident, that sparked off worldwide debate and criticism of the show and its participants, during the last Celebrity edition of the show.
Producers of the programme, under advice from Channel 4 bosses, have held one-to-one meetings with each of the new housemates, according to The Sun. Celebrities have been warned that they are to ‘watch and learn’ from the beahviour of Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O’Meara towards series winner Shilpa Shetty.

The incidents in the house caused over 50,000 people to complain to governing body Ofcom.
Executive producer Sharon Powers said: “We told everyone to look on YouTube and sent them DVDs. We’ve spoken to them all in detail about what the boundaries are.”
The publicity shots of the slightly revamped Celebrity Big Brother house, have been released by Channel 4 - with the main changes being made in the garden as it adopts a ‘winter theme.’
Here, we present to you the shots from the house that the new batch of celebrities will be calling ‘home’ for up to three weeks.
The bathroom has been renovated with regal red wallpaper and matching rugs and seating areas.
The basic bedroom will make an unwelcome return for the celebrities, with the new addition of stars incorporated in to the carpet design.
The full changes to the Luxury bedroom are being kept under wraps (for now), but we see a sneaky peek of a new chaise lounge and stool.
The most changes can be seen in the garden - with the replacement of the swimming pool, with a wintery themed horse carousel (expect drunken antics from celebrities on these!). Potted plants and trees are scattered around the garden, and panelling has been replaced with lighter icy blue colours to match with the new ice cube-themed seating area.
The jail cell returns, but has been made larger and a bench (which no doubt could be doubled as a bed!) has been included.
No photos of the living room area or kitchen have been released (yet), but from this shot, we can see the metallic blue panelling has been kept in place and BB has provided the celebs with fitness equipment also.
UPDATE: Our lucky friends over at Digital Spy have been on a tour of the new house and have added this sneaky peek video of the revamped house for your viewing pleasure. It includes shots of the new outdoor jail toilet, the luxury bedroom and changes to the shower.
Notice also that BB is not only providing the housemates with the luxury of an exercise bike and weights, but that a hairdryer and hair straighteners have also been fitted in to the bedroom - no need to exchange tokens for these items this series then?

Top tabloid News of the World have announced, what they believe, is the final confirmed list of housemates expected to enter the Big Brother house next week, when the new series kicks off.
The features editor of the paper, speaking to LBC Radio revealed that the paper had scooped the line-up and would be publishing it tomorrow (Sunday). Amongst the list is Ulrika Jonsson, who the News of the World state is being paid a whopping £175,000 to take part in the show.
The paper says that Ulrika has “taken the money, so will definitely be in the show.”

The latest in a string of rumoured housemates to be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house in January, is former Gladiators host and weather girl Ulrika Jonsson.
Born in Sweden, Ulrika has had her fair share of exposure, hitting the headlines in such stories as the John Leslie scandal and ex-England footballer manager Sven Goran Eriksson’s affair.
Ulrika is no stranger to reality TV either, after participating in BBC’s Comic Relief Does Fame Academy and ITV’s Dancing on Ice in recent years.
More recently Ulrika presented her own one-off special TV show, titled “Ulrika: Am I A Sex Addict?” in which she aimed to determine whether she was subject to a sex addiction.

With weeks to go before the launch of the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, Davina McCall has admitted that she thinks the return of the spin-off show “will be amazing.”
Speaking in the Celebrity Big Brother publicity interviews, the show’s host stated: “It’s good to be back, and I can’t wait to get started again!”
Executive producer Sharon Powers admitted there is a buzz around the identities of the latest batch of celebrity housemates: “Given I’m excited about the lineup, it’s a hard one to keep secret but it’s worth it when on launch night each car pulls up and the door is opened to reveal a celebrity, all live.”
“The crowd’s reaction is incredible and we hope the new housemates will be as fascinating to the fans as they live under Big Brother’s ever watchful eye for the next three weeks.”
